# Dog-breeder design concepts — image credits

These are fictional kennel websites by Falko Baeker, created to demonstrate design work, not client projects. All dog photographs are stock photographs, not photographs of dogs owned by these fictional kennels. No images come from the project's breeders or `site/preview/`.

## License verification

Checked on **October 29, 2026**: every individual photo page below displays **“Free to use under the Unsplash License”** and a free download. These are regular Unsplash photographs, **not Unsplash+ images**. The [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license) permits downloading, modifying and using photographs commercially without permission or mandatory attribution. Credits are provided voluntarily. Photos are used within original website designs, not sold as standalone photographs or compiled into a competing image service.

Images were downloaded from the image linked on each photo page, auto-oriented, resized to a maximum of **1600 pixels on either edge**, stripped of metadata and saved locally as WebP at quality 82. CSS crops the images to fit the layouts; no generative edits were made. The websites make no requests to Unsplash or any other third party at runtime.

The Austin Kirk photo's generated page title says “beagle”; the photographer's description identifies the subject as a **Cavalier King Charles Spaniel**, consistent with the inspected photograph. No health, ancestry or ownership is inferred from any stock photograph.

## Derived reference mockups

`site/img/work/alder-and-gleam-desktop.webp`, `alder-and-gleam-mobile.webp`, `juniper-still-desktop.webp` and `juniper-still-mobile.webp` are local Chrome screenshots of these concepts, including their concept disclosure bands. They contain the stock photographs credited above and are labeled as fictional design concepts on the landing page. The matching `docs/screens/concept-*.webp` files document the same layouts at 1366 and 390 pixels wide.

## Names and example content

Web searches for the full names **“Alder & Gleam Goldens”** and **“Juniper Still Cavaliers”**, and their name stems, on October 29, 2026 returned no matching real kennel. This records a search check, not a claim of trademark clearance. The kennel names, dog-profile names, state-only locations and sample copy are invented. There are no real breeder names, registration numbers, show titles, health results, testimonials, litter dates or puppy offers.
